Motherhood in one word?
Brogan: Whirlwind.
Evita: Incomparable.
Jackie: Rewarding 🥰.
Wayta: Magical.
Your ultimate mom sneaker?
Brogan: Air Jordan 1 or Adidas Handball Spezial.
Evita: Currently the Nike V2K or New Balance 990v6 because it's all about comfort these days.
Jackie: New Balance 991's.
Wayta: I have a lot of Jordans, but when you need to run out of the house and after your kids. These are my least favorite. So I turned to New Balance these days. The pink protection pack is one of my favs.
Your new mom skill?
Brogan: My animal impressions have certainly improved.
Evita: Getting myself ready in less than 5 minutes.
Jackie: Patience.
Wayta: I am a very impatient person. My daughter who is very strong willed and impatient herself is a direct mirror to how I can be better as a person but also as a parent. Teaching her patience is a big one.
Fave mom gadget?
Brogan: Toniebox.
Evita: Definitely the Bugaboo Butterfly stroller. It's so easy to use and carry. Perfect when you travel with a toddler or for a day out! It makes everything a lot easier.
Jackie: Not a gadget but you need a good bag for all their stuff.
Wayta: Our talking Cactus is still a big hit. Everytime Dela’s down I turn it on. It mimics back what you say with a little squiggly dance.
Mom-spiration?
Brogan: @hattiebourn
Evita: My two older sisters are definitely my mom-spiration. They’re the first ones I call or message when I need some mom-to-mom advice. And my own mother. I appreciate her even more now that I’m a mother myself.
Jackie: Anyone with more than one kid! If they can do it with 2 or 3, I can with 1 ❤️
Wayta: Don’t try to have any expectations on what kind of mom you are going to be. As soon as your kids are born, you’re gonna make choices that you didn’t consider making before you had them. You’re not even going to be the same mother for your second or third kid. You are ever evolving, so will your motherhood. Your intuition and intention is important and powerful. Try to always make that strongest voice in your head.
Ideal how-to-be-your-own-self activity?
Brogan:
Wine night Fridays (complete with favourite series).
Evita:
Catching up with friends while we eat good food.
Jackie:
A solo cafe date.
Wayta:
For Dela: Dela is a very neat girl. She love organizing and cleaning. Giving her a dishrag and some tupperware will easily keep her busy for an hour. Even if I try to join, she’s too busy for me 😅.
For Me: I love doing NOTHING. When I’m at home that’s not possible cause I will find something to do. So I love to book a spa appointment and put on a podcast and disappear for an hour.
