You have a number of names that are known for starting great successes when it comes to sneakers and/or streetwear in the fashion industry. There's a very good chance that Jeff Staple's name is at the top of the line.
In the list of craziest sneaker releases, the Nike Dunk SB Low Staple NYC “Pigeon” from 2005 is one that’s on the top - After all these years, he is still always able to express his work differently than others. He is not a fashion designer but a communication designer and we sat down with him to see what he can teach us and you about this cool world.
Journalism suits him very well. He loved to talk about all he had done so here is a recap!
His parents always had in mind that he would graduate high school and college and then get a steady job for himself, but nothing could be further from the truth. While studying journalism, he got a part-time job at a graphic design studio. Once he started working there, he looked around seeing things that inspired him and got him interested - the owner took him onder his wing and showed him what design and typography was.
Not long later, he knew what he had to do. Jeff dropped out of school!
No need to worry, it wasnt the end of the road cause from here he went to Parsons and learned heavily about graphic design!
At PNB Nation he took an internship for graphic design and discovered that there were more possibilities with art than just on paper.
This has been the step for him to transform his graphic side into more interaction - from sneakers to clothing to the metaverse.
